From Poland

Brothers, we are very sorry that we do not regularly let you know about the current situation related to the care for the saints - refugees from Ukraine. We very much miss someone who could act as a "war correspondent" . So far, we mainly try to cover the current needs related to the arrival of saints, their collection from the border or railway stations, placement in Puzo or other places in Warsaw, on-site transport, meals, accommodation, ensuring basic needs (some people come with only a small backpack - need help with the purchase of underwear, personal care products, etc.). Saints, and others , brought to Puzo all kinds of clothing, small everyday items that the saints can take as needed. Most of the saints are mothers with children and young sisters - Ukrainian women. There are also students and families from China and Taiwan, and one new brother from Armenia. So far 78 people have passed through Warsaw (including 37 of them children and adolescents, from 1.5 to 18 years old), tomorrow we are expecting another 13. Saints mainly live in Puzo but also in 6 other places (in which they live together/23 people lived). In addition, we also helped a dozen other people who were not staying overnight.

Staying in Puzo has the impression of a great lodging house and a noisy kindergarten at the same time - beds and mattresses are almost everywhere, the kids are having a good time, mothers and young sisters prepare meals, many saints help with cleaning, washing, and the glorious life of the church . Today there were also baptisms of three people - a student and sister from China and a brother from Armenia . ...From tomorrow it will thin out, because in the morning about 40 saints are leaving by bus to Germany - the saints will welcome them there at the Gut Elim center - which will allow us to receive more arriving people. Many of you are asking about the possibility of accepting saints - so far we have not even had the opportunity to consider such long-term options, in fact only since yesterday have we even been able to coordinate with the brothers who came with the saints (these are Russian-speaking brothers of Chinese origin from Malaysia and the USA, so they could leave Ukraine). So we hope that after this first large wave of saints in the coming days, we will be able to consider further options for saints to stay in Poland. The situation is still dynamic. We would also like to thank you for all the offers of help - we managed to use some of them, and for some of them - we did not even have the opportunity to consider them - we ask for your understanding and forgiveness."
